Kenya has reported 796 new confirmed cases of coronavirus over the past 24 hours, Health CAS Mwangangi announced on Thursaday. Previously, the highest daily number recorded was 688 on July 18.
According to the daily update, the total number of the confirmed COVID-19 cases in Kenya has risen to 15,601, with a further three COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the country’s total deaths to 263.
In the past weeks, the number of infections and deaths in the country have increased. The number of recovered patients from the virus is also increasing daily. With 378 more patients recovering bringing total number of recoveries to 7,135
From the cases 793 are Kenyans while three are foreigners, and 503 are males and 293 are females. The youngest case is a one-year-old infant, while the oldest is 87.#KomeshaCorona

“We are very much in control of this situation… It takes a lot to be able to say we’ve reached the point of being overwhelmed and I do not envision a point at which we would ever be overwhelmed…” said Dr. Mercy Mwangangi
“We have provided guidelines for healthcare workers to be able to offer trauma services for the injured patients including victims of violence during this COVID-19 pandemic.” Emphasized Health CAS Mwangangi.
