The folks at Bleacher Report recently published their rankings of the Top 100 Player Rankings from the 2019-20 NBA Season. Coming in at No. 23 was Russel Westbrook.

The Explosive guard, as he came to be known, sent out a brief took to Instagram to react after learning of his position on the list:
Bleacher Report had this to say in regards to why they ranked Westbrook at 23:

“Still, the first part of the season happened. Russell Westbrook was on course for the fourth-worst true shooting percentage of his career prior to Jan. 1 while firing up far too many threes, during which time the Rockets failed to keep their head above water whenever he played without James Harden. Opponents outscored them by 4.3 points per 100 possessions, with a sub-105 offensive rating, through his solo stints.

“This level of inconsistency is unsettling. The Rockets are significantly worse off, both now and later, if they cannot count on Westbrook to successfully spearhead units without Harden. His most recent performance is proof he still has the impact of a top-25 player, but his top-15 case is no longer airtight. His average rank across six catch-all-metrics, in fact, suggests he should be lower—closer to No. 40 overall than No. 20.”

Anyone who knows basketball knows that Khris Middleton isn’t anywhere close to as good as Russell Westbrook this season. Jayson Tatum has a slight argument, but because of his inefficient shooting he isn’t close to as good as Westbrook either. Khris Middleton clearly isn’t better than Jayson Tatum so that is questionable by itself as well.

Russell Westbrook is angry at Bleacher Reports player rankings, and it seems like he may have unintentionally dissed Tatum and Middleton in the process of having a good laugh.

Westbrook’s list of accolades is longer than a country mile. The 31-year-old claimed 8 All-Star Appearances, 11 Seasons in the NBA, 18859 Points, 6897 Assists, 5760 Rebounds, 138 Triple Doubles, 2 Scoring Titles, 8 All-NBA Selections and 1 MVP
