Top female news anchor Maalika Kazia just recently quit her job at one of the biggest media stations after working at the Mombasa road based media station for two years.
The female anchor made the announcement through her Twitter handle on August
26th. Maalika who is famously known for her show The Trading Bell revealed to her fans that her decision to officially leave the media station was not an easy one.
Some of her fans on her comment section were however surprised that she could
afford to quit her well-paying job at such a time when many people are struggling to make ends meet after being fired from their jobs even at other top media stations.
She however did not disclose her decisions for leaving and to which destination she was headed to, but she hinted on venturing into YouTube after asking for support from her fans, asking them to subscribe to her YouTube channel.
Through her Twitter handle, she went on to write; “Goodness, it has been quite a
journey! This was not an easy decision for me to make and I will always be grateful to KTN News and Standard Group for the opportunity. Thank you. I have learnt a lot, met amazing people, and grown in ways I never expected. To a different chapter now.”

The gorgeous anchor however did not forget her die-hard fans and who supported her work and gave their feedback every single minute she went on air. She spared time and thanked them too; “And of course a massive thank you to each and everyone of you who watched, supported my work, and uplifted me through their feedback. Asante sana.”
