Former Citizen TV news anchor Jacque Maribe is set to make a massive comeback on air after more than one year since we saw her anchoring news.
The former TV girl has announced that she will be bringing you a new show called The Hot Seat having taken a sabbatical which almost made her fans forget her existence.
The show will bring you raw conversations, discuss political matters as well as dwell on in depth inspiration.
It will be airing on Sunday at 8pm but sadly, you will be required to arm yourself with enough bundles or WiFi since it will be live on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
In a teaser announcing the premiering of the show, Jacque gives a hint on what the whole debate will be about.
In the teaser, Maribe seemingly talks about her life in the past 2 or so years where her career as an anchor was progressing well until one day when it all went up in "flames" after being arrested on murder allegations.
"Everything is falling into place and everything is making so much sense until one day you have no idea what the world decides to do, like literally a standstill. Something that you love doing so much..." she says.
"It has been roller coaster this past year just trying to take it all in, trying to smile when you know you can't, but instead of allowing yourself to be down you get back up and take it by the horns," Maribe said while announcing the introduction of the show.
Although it took a lot on her she said that the constant scrutiny she is put under by netizens is something she has grown used to. She takes the criticism as it comes and moves on and has grown a thick skin as a result.
Jacque was arrested in 2018 with her fiancee Jowie Irungu on accusations of being involved in the murder of businesswoman Monica kimani in her apartment in Kilimani.
She was later released on bail and in 2019, she lost her job at Citizen TV.
Jacque Maribe has a lot of high ranking politicians as her close friends who might have influenced her interest in politics.
They include; President Uhuru Kenyatta, DP Ruto, Gatundu South Member of parliament Moses Kuria,Nairobi’s Governor Sonko and Nairobi Senator Sakaja.
