Musician Esther Akoth, famously known as
Akothee has revealed how she undressed after Indians who had stolen her
content refused to pay her. She recounted this as she fights for her
Youtube channel which has been terminated.
“I
work like a dog, someone else pockets when spice stole my content
uploaded my songs on different channels with a different name and
collected my revenues with projects they didn't spend a penny on, made
my management sign a stupid agreement that said we were to pay them
200,000 Ksh upon termination while the only money they managed to pay me
after 3 months of collecting my revenue was 18,000 ksh.
I
told them to take it to an orphanage, they refused with my logins, And I
had to be a madwoman to have my logins & my Channel back, I even
undressed and called police for these Indians.
The
story with ONEPRM Is even more painful because they even blocked my
YouTube revenues for 2 months, came on board with a lot of false
promises and claimed that Ngoma was stealing from Me and that Ngoma owes
me about 1, 500,000 ksh , however, Ngoma has never delayed with any of
my payments.
I know I
lost money from 2019 backward since my management then pocketed all the
money from my YouTube earnings, me being too busy with other projects, I
trusted him and left him to handle that sector and collected revenue on
my behalf, one day I woke up, and told him to give me Clemmo's number.
Every
time I asked if we are not receiving any money from youtube, he said he
can't get hold of Clemmo. Ooh, S**t, when I called Clemmo, Clemmo just
told me,” she said.
