Interior Permanent Secretary (PS) Karanja Kibicho is expected to present himself at the DCI headquarters to answer Mike Sonko’s allegations.
The news comes hours after the former Nairobi Governor claimed that he himself and the PS bought second-hand vehicles that they set on fire during the 2017 demonstrations.
Sonko was speaking in Dagoreti when he claimed that in addition to burning vehicles, he, Kibicho, and the deep state also printed ODM t-shirts which they would burn to put the blame on ODM and their supporters.
Speaking at the venue was the country’s Deputy President William Ruto who called on former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to stop checking on his delivery score.
The DP called on the ODM leader to inquire with the President on development matters as what he has done is more than what the ODM leader has done his entire career in government.
According to the Deputy President, ODM is solely responsible for the woes at Jubilee Party and pushing back the party on its development agenda.
Political temperatures in the country are currently high as the candidates in the coming election are set to be known in the next few months.
