Kenyans have hilariously responded to the news of Deputy President William Ruto’s daughter, June, being officially off the market and recently engaged to a man of West African Descent; A Nigerian man.
According to sources privy to the newlyweds, June was engaged to her boyfriend, Alex Ezenagu, at a colorful event hosted at her father’s Karen home, also referred to as ‘The Hustler’s Mansion’.
Further reports also indicate that Caleb Kositany a member of parliament from the Soy constituency led the dowry negotiations while popular MC Robert Kemei emceed the colorful ceremony.

“I was the negotiator at the bride price settlement. The Kalenjin and Igbos share a lot in common. We haggled, negotiated, and agreed to loud chants of Igbo kwenu! Our host Deputy President @WilliamsRuto & wife was excellent and look forward to visiting the land of Chinua Achebe” Osita Chidoka wrote on Twitter.

At one point, Kenyan gospel artist Emmy Kosgei, who is a wife to a Nigerian man took a swipe on Kalenjin men for being shy in shooting their shots.
According to the singer’s experience, no Kalenjin man has ever approached her for a romantic relationship let alone asking her hand in marriage.
Speaking during a virtual interview on Facebook with one Alfred Koech, Kosgei took swipes at Kalenjin men whom she termed as laid back.
“There is no Kalenjin man who came to me and told me they want to marry me. This is why sometimes one sees something is good but fails to speak up
“An example is a pan, you feel like having it but you do not put it in actions and when the pan is taken away by another person, you start questioning why,” she said.
