“The Batman” actress Zoe Kravitz talked about how she studies cats and lions to better understand her role as Catwoman.

Playing Selina Kyle and her alter ego, Catwoman, in Matt Reeves' upcoming blockbuster, starring Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne and the Caped Crusader, the 33-year-old actress opened up her research to help her add something special to herself. yield.

Talking to Empire magazine about his work with stunt coordinator Rob Alonzo, he said: "We watched cats and lions and how they fought and talked about what's actually possible when you're my size and Batman is a lot stronger than me.

"What's my talent? It's fast and hard. So we did some really interesting groundwork that combines different martial arts and types of capoeira and a kind of cat, dance-like movement."

He also described the portrayal of her character in the film as an "origin story" as he began to discover "who" Selina "is".

She explained: “So this is the beginning of her discovering who she is, beyond someone trying to survive.

"I think there's a lot of room to grow and I think we're watching her grow into what I'm sure is going to be a femme fatale."

Meanwhile, last year filmmaker Reeves revealed this new version of Catwoman and how it would compare to previous shots, especially given that Kravitz previously voiced the character in 2017's "The Lego Batman Movie."

She said: "You have a remake of what you've never seen, but it touches on all these iconic things that people know from the comics.

"It's always about trying to combine what you know with what is new."
