On the evening of July 28, 2025, Maureen Njeri returned home after seeing off a friend, only to wake up two days later in a pool of blood. She had a swollen face and eyes, along with extreme discomfort, and had no memory of the attack until later.
Now, two weeks later, Maureen is telling BounceNation.Tell Xyz what happened to her and who hurt her and left her for dead. The young woman is also begging for support from well-wishers to acquire a job because she is concerned that the suspect would return to abuse her again.
She told BounceNation254.xyz that her boyfriend is now the main suspect in the incident in which she believes she was beaten while unconscious on the night of July 28.
"We had been having problems in our relationship because I was against him doing drugs. I had told him that if he did not quit drugs, I would leave the relationship. I think this is why he got angry and beat me up that day," she said.
Maureen said her neighbours heard the man beating her up, and they revealed to her that it was he who meted out the beating on her.
"When I reported the matter, he disappeared, and since then, I have not seen him. His phone is also off. I hope that the police are looking for him," she added.
Maureen Njeri seeks help
Maureen said she is apprehensive that the man may return to beat her up again.
She appealed to well-wishers to help her get a job so that she can provide for herself and her child and move elsewhere.
"I can do any job, but mostly, a caregiving role is what I would want. I appeal to anyone who can help me to do so," she said.
She shared photos showing that her face has finally started healing, and she hopes for a fresh start and justice for herself.
