Mungai Eve opens up about depression, burnout, and renewed faith

Mungai Eve, a content producer, has offered her audience a rare and honest look into her personal life, discussing her difficulties with depression and burnout, as well as her maturing connection with God.

Combating Depression

In an honest Instagram Q&A, Eve admitted that she went through the darkest phase of her life from April to June 2025. She stated that depression had left her emotionally exhausted, physically weak, and unable to carry out her usual activities.

"I spent most of my days in bed, barely eating, and constantly feeling overwhelmed by life," she told me.

Eve credited her recovery to prayer, professional help, and the unwavering support of family and close friends. “It was the darkest period of my life, but I thank God and the people who stood by me. Healing is a journey, and I’m slowly getting better,” she said.

Stepping Back from the Spotlight

Eve also addressed her decision to pause her celebrity interviews and podcasts, which had been her signature content for the past five years.

She explained that the routine had become draining and left her burnt out.
“I realized I was chasing other people’s dreams instead of focusing on my own growth,” she confessed, noting that the break was necessary for her mental health and personal development.

A Stronger Walk with God

Beyond her career and mental health, Eve spoke openly about her spiritual journey. A follower asked about her faith, and she revealed that 2025 has been a turning point in her relationship with God.

“I’ve always been God-fearing, but this year I’ve become more intentional. I pray more, I trust Him more, and I consciously make time to walk with Him daily,” she said.

According to Eve, this deliberate effort has given her “the best peace ever” and helped her rebuild strength after her struggles.
