Tabitha Karanja, Arnelisa Muigai and Tecra Karanja

Keroche Breweries CEO Tabitha Karanja has for the first time spoken about her
daughter Tecra’s death which she says affected her and broke her into pieces. It has been 100 days since Tecra Muigai was laid to rest. Her daughter Tecra was the
Strategy and Innovations Director at Keroche Breweries. She went ahead to commemorate her with a heartwarming tribute on her Twitter handle;

“This week marks 100 days since we laid to rest my last born daughter Tecra. Her
death left me brokenhearted without an idea of how to move forward. People say to give it time. But truth is that time changes nothing. What has changed is my eyes have been opened to more truths. 29 years ago when Tecra was gifted to me, I was drawn to her insatiable curiosity. Through the years I benefitted from her outlook of the world. She became my sounding board in my very private life and my public life as an entrepreneur. I dearly miss her counsel and company. I’ve heard from friends in 20 countries whose lives Tecra touched and inspired. Her life proves what differentiates people is opportunity. Thankyou all for prayers that helped ease our pain. For those in a similar place, I pray for grace to live and grieve at the same time.”

The late Keroche heiress died on May 2nd after suffering cerebral oedema which
resulted from a fall from the staircase of a house she shared with her boyfriend Omar Lali in Lamu on 27th April. Her mother accompanied her tribute with a dear photo she took with a young Tecra to commemorate the milestone.
