
According to a video doing rounds in the internet, the lawmaker stormed an ongoing meeting at the boardroom claiming that the officers had kept her waiting longer despite her summon reading 11 am.
Omanga had been summon alongside 10 other members of parliament over their alleged involvement in by- elections held across the country on Thursday.
Kasipul MP Ong’ondo Were whose session was shortly disrupted by Omanga’s drama declined to record a statement with the commission.
Were claimed the summons were too general with no specific accusations on his conduct during the Matungu by election.
“I just received a general letter with no content. The letter was only quoting the powers of the commission. They (NCIC investigators) said they have summoned me based on the reports from the media and social media sites, so I did not make any presentation and insisted that they summon me a fresh with the details of the accusations,” he said.
At the same time, Were disputed a video showing his arrest during the chaotic by election.
The first time MP insisted that it was not an arrest but rather an evacuation.
“I was not arrested, the police were evacuating me because I was in danger. Why is it that I was not in court?” he said.
