Detectives have arrested a prison warden in connection with the gruesome murder of a 61-year-old elderly businessman from Nyeri County.

The Sleuths attacked Benson Musili, a prison guard at King'ong'o GK Prison, and linked him to the murder of Erasmus Iguku, a businessman famous for his electronic commerce and who has several stores in the town of Nyeri.

Initial investigations show that Musili conspired with his late wife, 48, Doris Wambui, to carry out the ordeal on the night of Sunday, December 19th.

Shortly after committing the heinous crime, the two fled to an undisclosed location.

However, Sleuths followed and attacked them on Tuesday, December 21st.

An influential team of detectives put out the cigarette after following them for two days as they tried to escape arrest, but their plan failed after he was caught in the Kivaa district in Masinga, Machakos County.

The incident was confirmed by Nyeri Central district Police Commander Paul Kuria, who stated that they were waiting to be held in front of the Nyeri Courts.

Investigators are working day and night to determine the motive behind the businessman's murder and what led to his wife's conspiracy with the Warden.
